Agniswarar Temple is located in
Kumbakonam in a village of Kanjanur. The main deity of this temple is Lord
Shiva known as Agniswarar (Sukran) in this temple. It is one of the nine
navagraha temple and represent the planet Venus and have taken place in one
among the Padal Petra Sthalam. Sukran is said to take place within the stomach
of Lord Shiva. Here in this temple Lord Shiva is in the form of Lingam. The
specialty of this temple says as Lord Shiva and Parvathi marriage take place
with the blessings of Lord Brahma. The main festival celebrated in this temple
is Mahasivaratri, Navaratri and Aadi Pooram. In that Haradatta Sivacharyar is
famous one celebrated in the Tamil month of Thai every year. Lord Sukran
favorable day is Friday and it is considered as the special day. The one who
worship Lord Sukran on this special day can get the blessing of god in form of
own house, marriage, fame and prosperity. The benefit also lies with the
