Thiruchendur Murugan Temple



Thiruchendur Murugan temple is one among the arupadai veedu. This is the second padai veedu and you can mostly see all other temples are located in hills, but this temple is situated near the sea shore people have a bath in the sea and make their holy visit and gets the blessing from the lord. In the month of Aippasi devotes from all over the world gather for celebrating skanda sashti. During this people fast for six days, this festival starts next day of new moon day and continues six days. It’s said that newly married women fast for getting pregnant and have a safe delivery. On the end of sixth day every year temple priests perform surasamharam act in the sea shore. The seventh day is celebrated as thirukalyanam for lord Murugan.
