Palani Murugan temple is located
in Pazhani, Dindigul district in the state of Tamil Nadu. This temple is one
among the Arupadaiveedu. The temple is located at the top of the hills and has 693
steps where devotee has to climb all these steps to visit the lord Murugan made
of amalgam which is one of the nine poisonous substances. The most important
festival celebrated in this temple is thai poosam, panguni uthiram and soora samara
as many number of devotees used to come here and special poojas are performed
by the priest in the temple and annathanam is done to get blessings from Lord
muruga. While on special occasions in this temple Kaavadi are famous here and carried
by devotees who has special prathanai to god. The prasadham like vibuthi and
panchamirutham are very famous one in this temple.
