Thirupparamkunram Murugan Temple



Thirupparamkunram Murugan temple is located in Madurai in the state of Tamil Nadu. The main deity of this temple is Lord Murugan and it also one of the Arupadaiveedu. The temple is famous as lord Murugan marriage has taken place with Devaiyanai. The most important festivals celebrated in this temple is Brahmotsavam which falls in the tamil calendar month of panguni, panguni uthiram, karthikai festival, Vaikasi visakam. The special poojas like abhishekam are performed by the priest only to the Lord Murgan vel and not to the idol of Lord Murugan. There are three different Mandapam situated at this temple. The different shrines of Lord Ganesha, Lord Vishnu, and Saneeswaran are situated inside the temple. Outside the temple there lies a beautiful pond. The Devotees of this temple who visit the Lord Murugan on special occasion can get blessings from the god.
